Marie Therese de Willermin
CEO & Founder

Marie Therese de Willermin trained as an art historian, earning post-graduate degrees in New York and Paris with honors and election to Phi Beta Kappa. For many years, while raising her family, she worked as a Professor of Art History, sharing her knowledge and passion for French art and architecture with her students. During these years, she also headed up non-profit organizations and served on the governing boards of French and American institutions in Paris. No wonder Parisian society, its arts de vivre, and its many closed doors hold so few secrets for her!

She founded the Académie des Arts de Vivre (AAV) in 2007 after obtaining the official French government license as an incoming Tour Operator and Destination Management Company. Today, she acts as its Managing Director, deriving great pleasure from expanding her luxury travel company. While enhancing its niche position within the luxury tourism industry, she focuses on product development, constantly creating new travel experiences for individuals and small groups. Her tailor-made travel itineraries with authentic behind-the-scenes experiences allow her to share her contacts, knowledge and passion for French and other European cultures with her discerning clients.
